Time, Rhyme, Rhine explores how different forms of movement and encounter shape our perception of the River Rhine. Focusing on the KISD–Rodenkirchen–Wesseling corridor, the project observes how humans and non-humans interact with the river through walking, cycling, public transport, resting, fishing and simply watching.
The research considers the Rhine not as a static landscape, but as a shifting spatial and temporal condition. Its continuous flow intersects with memory, movement and everyday routines, producing different experiences of time depending on how the river is encountered.
Through field observations, photography and mapping, the project traces these relationships and asks how the river can become a space where personal memory, urban infrastructure and non-human life overlap.
